Strings in expression

Feb 10, 2010 at 5:19 AM

Hi,

Can ILCalc evaluate expressions like the following one? I want to use string variables inside the expression.

var sExp = "(ProductName == \"My Dummy Product\" AND Price > 500) OR (ProductName != \"My Dummy1\" AND Price > 9000)";

Thanks

Hi,

unfortunately the answer is no. ILCalc only supports the expressions of a single type, specified as generic parameter. And standalone strings expressions are not supported too.

Oh.. I was really impressed with speed statistics and was considering using ILCalc instead of Flee. I guess I can't do that right now.

Thanks.

Yep, FLEE is better when you need more than arithmetic expressions, when mixing types inside the expressions.///

ILCalc is done in other way, which allows it to be so fast, but it costs of many limitations...
